Ramsagar in Dinajpur is one of the historical and archeological monuments of Bangladesh. The Ramsagar attracts innumerable domestic and foreign tourists every year for its historical foundation and natural beauty. The people of Dinajpur town, about 6 km straight to the south of the road, have an area of ​​60 acres in the waters of Ramsagar, but about 130 acres with mounds on all sides. The main ghat of the 150 feet long sandstone lake attracts everyone's attention. The depth of Ramsagar is about 30 feet. The water of this deep lake never dries up. Ramnath, the famous king of Dinajpur, dug the Ramsagar lake between 1750 and 1855 during the reign of Nawab Alivardi Khan. It is said that the king dug this lake to provide employment and water to the people suffering from drought at that time. At present, the water of this lake, which is adorned with innumerable plants, has been transformed into a spectacular sight with its reflection and vast body of water. At present, about fifty thousand tourists come to Ramsagar every year to enjoy this view.
